Crown molding carries a weight of tradition and immense beauty, but with quite a few modern adjustments, molding now fits into any modern and contemporary interiors, or traditionally inspired styles. While it is a very telling detail in your home, it is also very much so a decorative part. Crown molding can complement your design by being something that seamlessly blends in with the design ideas or something that stands out from the design while completing it. It is entirely up to you, and with our products, there is no way that you can do wrong.
There are thousands of different styles of decorative crown molding that has been created over centuries and centuries, and throughout different countries - different styles reflect the aesthetic of a different location. The simple and clean style originated in Japan. Traditionally, the Japanese design included lighter walls with a darker trim - the shapes which are accentuated are usually geometrical - squares and rectangles. It was then brought to modern light through the Streamline Modern, which inhabits many of the homes today. Streamline Modern introduced curves into particular simplicity. It's a way of having something very simple, but still having an edge by there being quite a bit more intricate than the Japanese style molding.
