Ceiling Domes: Where Do I Begin?
New ideas – style and decision making – should be fun. Some decisions may seem difficult to make because, in some cases, without certain knowledge, it is difficult to imagine what the room will look like in the end. The trick is to close your eyes and let your imagination run free. The whole room will come together like a mosaic.
Everyone has an idea of their dream home – it doesn’t matter as to what is in style at the time. Then when one is able to do so, he or she tries to implement those dreams into where they live now. Recently ceiling domes have becoming high in demand for interior use due to the fact that it is an affordable way to add luxury and style in your home. Ceiling domes are amazing architectural details to be used in opening up the interior space. There are many styles, sizes and shapes of ceiling domes available, making it easy for them to cohesively fit with your design. An interior designer is also very helpful in this situation because they are able to take the dreams and translate them into reality.
The best interior for anybody is one that is original, that suits the particular needs that one may have – the design is supposed to be your very own that does not have a strong influence of fads at the time because it is too easy to fall out of love with a fad

This is so true! I recently visited my boyfriend’s father’s house for the first time and I saw a fantastic ceiling dome that was painted with a copper metallic finish. There was a subtle glow of light around the rim, adding a perfect accent to the ceiling. I think ceiling domes are a great way to make your home even more special for you, and your guests.

I agree about the ceiling domes being an amazing architectural detail. We installed one in our living room and it completely opened the room up. We’re thinking about adding one to our foyer as well, just to make it that much more special.

Alot of people install ceiling domes in their entrance foyer. This adds a lot of grandeur to your home. When chosing a size make the ceiling dome the focal point but insure you leave at least 1 or 2 feet of space between the outer edge of the ceiling dome and the rooms walls.
Also, don’t fotget to check the depth of the dome to ensure you have enough overhead space available to install the dome.

I recently wanted to do something like this in my home. I’ve been really thinking about it, and now I think I may go for it. Why not? Why shouldn’t I be able to make my home more beautiful! Thank you for the idea about consulting an interior designer. I was kind of lost on what to do and the idea kind of fizzled for a bit… now I can really start making my dreams a reality!

I’ve been doing odd jobs around the house for years. I’m a regular handy man. My wife wanted one of these domes. After doing a little research, I realized it’s not hard to install them. Just patience and a little thinking. I recommend adding one to your home, it really makes the place that much nicer.

I have had a lot of requests for domes lately. It seems like everyone is going in this direction. I don’t mind the business, and it does a lot for a room once it is installed. I recommend looking into this. It’s a (somewhat) new approach for interior design in a home.

I just recently saw an article about “dome homes” and while I may not be quite interested in something like that, I am certainly interested in THESE domes. What a nifty idea. I never would have thought I could add a dome to my home, much less one that was already built. I really enjoyed this article.
