that is great– i have never thought of a ceiling as a new frontier for decorating– it is usually as something that i have written off as whatever is there when i move in– so be it. I guess there is a new frontier that must be explored!

Would there be any point to decorate a ceiling that is rather low? I mean, it is normal– i would say about 10 feet, but it is not incredibly tall. I just don’t know if it would look tacky if i would do a ceiling design.

Kelly – with a 10 foot high ceiling you can certainly incorporate a ceiling medallion and also ceiling moldings.
Don’t forget when selecting a ceiling medallion multiply the length x width of the room (in feet) then devide by 7 to get the ceiling medallion size in inches.
For example for a 12 x 15 room the ceiling medallion would be at least 25.7 inches in diameter.
[12 x 15 = 180 / 7 = 25.7 inches]

I never realized there could be so much detail added to a ceiling. I was visiting a friend the other day and noticed a new addition to her lighting fixtures. She told me she had purchased a ceiling medallion from InvitingHome.com. I truly appreciate the beauty in a home, and I am looking forward to adding my own details and personal touch to my own home.

With budgets being tight people are turning to their ceiling to stretch their home deocr budget. For just a few hundred dollars and some elbow grease you can transform your room with ceiling moldings.
Typically, the molding start about 1 – 2 feet from the outer walls. Corners can be decorative or plain. It’s a simple project, but you will definetly have an immediate impact.

We just added a two-piece ceiling medallion:
Santa-Rosa Two-Piece Medallion
ceiling medallions CM9030
diameter – 24-1/8″
depth – 1-1/2″
center diameter – 6-3/8″
This is ideal if you wish to install a ceiling medallion around your chandelier, fan or ceiling light fixture without having to remove the device.

I love the fact that you sell 2 piece medallions. A lot of companies I have been searching sell 2 piece medallions, but they just cut the medallion in half. Why I love InviingHome.com’s is because the 2 pieces actually marry together and look like it was never cut to begin with. I think 2 piece ceiling medallions are very smart to sell for homeowners since the lighting fixtures are most likely already installed.

I knew something was missing from my living room. It was missing that perfect added touch. I finally discovered InvitingHome.com and I got some great ideas from the Inspiration Gallery. I ended up purchasing some panel molding to make a lovely design and a ceiling medallion to accentuate my overhead fan. It really turned a “blah” room into a “wow” room. I am so thankful!
